  • L Suite members must meet all of the following criteria:


    • - Must meet the membership requirements for a specific community, as noted below.

    • - Must have received a referral from an existing member or partner (or, in certain circumstances, applied for membership without a referral and been accepted by the The L Suite membership committee).

    • - Must agree to abide by the The L Suite Membership Agreement.

    • - Must not be at a company whose primary business is the practice of law or providing products or services to in-house lawyers.

  • The L Suite Communities:


    • - TechGC is The L Suite community for GCs & CLOs at private, high-growth startups and scaleups. Membership in TechGC shall only be available to: (i) the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, VP Legal, or Head of Legal who is the most senior, full-time lawyer at a private, high-growth company or subsidiary of a public company and (ii) other individuals as determined in the sole discretion of The L Suite.


    • - PubGC is The L Suite for GCs & CLOs at public companies. Membership in PubGC shall only be available to: (i) the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, VP Legal, or Head of Legal who is the most senior, full-time lawyer at a publicly listed company and (ii) other individuals as determined in the sole discretion of The L Suite.


    • - FundGC is The L Suite community for GCs & CLOs at venture capital, private equity, and similar high-growth investment funds. Membership in FundGC shall only be available to: (i) the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, VP Legal, or Head of Legal who is the most senior, full-time lawyer at a high-growth investment fund (VC, PE, Crossover, etc.) and (ii) other individuals as determined in the sole discretion of The L Suite.


    • - Deputy is The L Suite community for DGCs, AGCs, and similarly senior in-house counsel at high-growth startups, scaleups, public companies, and investment funds. Membership in Deputy shall only be available to: (i)(a) the Deputy General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, VP Legal, or Head of Legal (b) who is a senior, full-time lawyer at a qualified company or fund and has at least 10 years of legal experience, and (ii) other individuals as determined in the sole discretion of The L Suite.


    • - Counsel is The L Suite community for rising in-house lawyers at high-growth startups, scaleups, public companies, and investment funds. Membership in Counsel shall only be available to: (i) in-house lawyers who are at qualified companies or funds and have at least 5 years of legal experience, and (ii) other individuals as determined in the sole discretion of The L Suite.


    • - For the avoidance of doubt, (a) “fractional” or “consulting” GC or other in-house counsel role is not a qualifying position for any of The L Suite communities and (b) the relevance of a member's company or professional experience to the community's focus and membership base may be considered, and The L Suite reserves the right to deny or terminate membership to an individual if the individual’s professional experience or company industry, size, or stage of growth does not closely align with the community’s current membership profile.

    • - For clarity, The L Suite member is the individual, not any entity. Each member must agree, at all times, to abide by this Membership Agreement, including without limitation the Code of Conduct set forth below, as well as The L Suite Terms of Use (available at: https://www.lsuite.co/terms-of-use). Membership is a privilege, which is subject to annual renewal, revocation, or termination for a member’s failure to conduct himself/herself/themself in a manner consistent with this Membership Agreement and Code of Conduct, or otherwise as determined by The L Suite in its sole discretion. The L Suite membership may be terminated or revoked at the discretion and determination of The L Suite for any reason in its sole discretion.


  • Interested prospective members can request an invitation here. Our Member Review Team vets all incoming applications weekly. Upon being accepted, you will enter into an approximately 30-day nomination window where you will receive a daily digest email summarizing the discussion forum activity for the day, giving you a glimpse of how our GCs exchange tactical advice and best practices on our online platform, and will be able to attend one of our events for free. If you don't accept your nomination to become a member before it expires, you will be able to reapply for membership in 6 months time.

  • The L Suite members have yearly membership dues, which include access to everything we do:


    • - Multiple conferences per year (dependent on your specific community within the L Suite) with CLE credit available

    • - Dozens of smaller dinners and other social gatherings (dependent on your geographic location) and monthly webinar events with CLE credit

    • - Our members-only discussion forum and recommendation platform (for peer-vetted recommendations of outside counsel and other vendors)

    • - An extensive content library featuring all of our past events/conferences

    • - A shared forms/precedent library curated from the community Braintrust

    • - Our annual, detailed Compensation Survey, Forms and Document Exchange and Topical and Benchmarking Surveys (privacy, remote work, etc.)

    • - Robust, tagged & searchable member directory for direct warm outreach to other members of your specific peer community

    • - Specialized member discounts (10-20%) through our Vendor Spotlight Program (contract management software, privacy compliance software, legal recruiting, and more)

  • We have two communities for your team, Deputy and Counsel. The Deputy and Counsel communities have their own community discussion forum and events, and share many of the same platform resources with the broader L Suite community (e.g., the content library, the recommendation platform, etc.). You can nominate individual senior legal team members to Deputy and Counsel here or contact membership@lsuite.co for team pricing discounts and billing.

  • For team memberships, we currently structure companies together so that everybody is on the same renewal cycle. That means you'll get a single invoice to renew the entire team each year, and your company will own/control all membership seats you have purchased (meaning, if one of your Deputy or Counsel team members leave mid-year, you can fill the seat with her/his/their replacement instead of having to buy a new seat). To inquire about a team membership and any available discounts, please reach out to membership@lsuite.co.

  • Our online member platform, the Braintrust, is exclusively available to paid members only. Once you become a paid member, you can log into the platform at https://braintrust.lsuite.co/auth/login. L Suite members will receive an individual email with an activation link to sign-up to Braintrust platform. If you do not have (or cannot find) this email, please first try to reset your password or email support@lsuite.co and we will send you another link.

  • Our members turn to their peers daily on the Braintrust platform and at virtual and in-person events to get quick answers to pressing questions, seek advice and find shortcuts with a myriad of available resources.


    • - You can search our history of past member-to-member Q&A discussion on our platform feed


    • - You can post your question to hundreds of similarly-situated peers who can share their unique perspectives as they relate to your work challenges


    • - You can search and DM other members that may be able to help, via our Member Directory


    • - You can request a flash survey to get the data you need


    • - You can check our Forms and Document Exchange page with over 2000 available documents for you to access


    • - You can check our robust Event Content Library for related past recordings / materials from previous events


    • - You can bring the issue to your next special interest group clubhouse


    • - You can bring the issue to the next industry summit


    • - You can lead a discussion on the topic at a fireside dinner, virtual panel or conference


    • - You can search our history of unbiased outside counsel/vendor peer recommendations

We use that information with complete discretion to help make relevant introductions that may help you with hiring or finding your next role.
